Overview

The Kedarkantha Peak Trek is one of India’s most-loved winter treks, famous for its deep snow, dense pine and oak forests, and a spectacular 360° summit view of Swargarohini, Bandarpoonch, Black Peak and the Gangotri range. Rising to about 3,810 meters (12,500 feet), it covers roughly 20 km and is considered ideal for first-time trekkers with basic fitness.

From the culture-rich village of Sankri and the magical frozen lake of Juda Ka Talab, to wide meadows and a dramatic sunrise summit push, Kedarkantha offers a complete Himalayan experience packed into a short itinerary — perfect for those seeking snow adventure without highly technical terrain.
